This poem is now one of my favourites. Inspired — "hope-driven resistance." I also loved the Merwin and Anderson excerpts. Thank you, Ana Lisa.

Thank you Stephen, it was your nature woven poetry that first had me falling for your words, hook, line and sinker, so I'mhumbled 🙂 💗

I’ve been reading this wonderful poem over and over again. Each time I peruse the words, different lines speak to me of nature “leading the charge” as she reveals how to live and adapt to alteration, season by season. How to live, yes, vital and vibrant, deeply rooted yet expectant, moment by moment. Ready to rise, ready to bloom or to die. Thank you, Ana Lisa. This delightful, all-encompassing poem might just be my new favourite! x ❤️

Thanks Joy, that's such a blessing for me to hear. Taking about boons. I cant remember who said, "getting and spending, we lay waste our powers. Little we see in nature that is ours. We have given pur hearts away, a sordid boon.' ❤️

“Even though she seems to carelessly live in the moment, shaking her frivolous seed heads, bearing bright berries for the birds.”

My favorite lines from this beautiful poem.
